This policy describes the data GovSail expects to collect and how it should be handled as the product moves through private beta.

Information We Collect
GovSail may collect contact information, company profile information, account details, uploaded capability materials, usage events, support messages, and public procurement source records needed to operate the service.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide opportunity triage, company-profile matching, source-backed recommendations, digest preferences, support, security monitoring, product analytics, and customer communications.
Customer Profile Data
Company capabilities, certifications, service areas, exclusions, pursuits, notes, labels, and digest preferences should remain scoped to the customer organization. GovSail should not commingle private customer profile data across organizations without explicit permission.
Public Source Data
Public procurement records, source snapshots, source URLs, document hashes, fetched timestamps, and parser metadata may be retained to audit recommendations and improve source coverage.
AI Processing
GovSail may use AI systems to extract requirements, summarize source records, rank fit, and explain recommendations. AI outputs should be treated as decision support and verified against the original source materials.
Retention And Security
GovSail should retain data only as long as needed for product operation, audit, security, legal, and support purposes. Production systems should use managed secrets, access controls, backups, and organization-scoped data boundaries.
